Chestnut Grove Natural Area
Reclaimed natural area
The 170-acre Chestnut Grove Natural Area was established in 2015 by the Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority. A network of 13 trails showcase different features of the property, including wetlands, meadows, woods and the River Hills. These trails also serve as a connector to regional trail systems such as the Turkey Hill Trail and the Enola Low Grade Rail Trail. Interpretive panels and a wetland boardwalk at this site allow visitors to experience and learn about nature and the environment.
