The Susquehanna Riverlands Conservation Landscape is a collaboration of communities, organizations and agencies seeking to enhance this rich landscape through increased land protection, natural and cultural resource stewardship, increased public connection to these resources, and promoting sustainable economic development through heritage and outdoor tourism.
Susquehanna National Heritage Area (SNHA)
SNHA operates the Columbia Crossing River Trails Center along the Northwest River Trail and the Zimmerman Center for Heritage near Wrightsville. The organization creates trail maps, guides, and manages outdoor recreation information online for our region. They work tirelessly to enhance our river corridor to make it more visitor-friendly and to showcase our river heritage. Donate to SNHA.
Lancaster Conservancy
Lancaster Conservancy works in Lancaster and York Counties to preserve land and open it to the public. They are stewards of hundreds of acres across the corridor. They manage the lands in 50 nature preserves and care for over 45 miles of hiking trails. Our work cultivates a connection with nature and educates the community on the importance of clean water, native species, biodiversity, and proper land use. Donate to Lancaster Conservancy.
