Haines Shoe House
Historic roadside architecture at its best
The Haines Shoe House modeled after a work boot is located in York, Pennsylvania along the Lincoln Highway. The house was built by shoe salesman Mahlon Haines in 1948 as a form of advertisement.
Guided tours of the Shoe House are offered seasonally and ice cream and treats are served in the retail shop in the heel.
