Chestnut Grove Natural Area
Reclaimed natural area
The 170-acre Chestnut Grove Natural Area was established in 2015 by the Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority. The area’s network of 13 trails showcases different features of the property, including wetlands, meadows, and woods. Interpretive panels and a wetland boardwalk at this site allow visitors to experience and learn about nature and the environment. LCSWMA’s map of the area shows color-coded trails and natural features.
The Chestnut Grove trail system also connects to regional trail systems such as the Turkey Hill Trail and the Enola Low Grade Rail Trail.
