Turkey Hill Trail & Nature Preserve

River shore trail

This ribbon-like Lancaster County Conservancy site in Manor Township meanders along the shoreline of the Susquehanna River and features a summit with breathtaking views. Hikers will enjoy secluded paths through a deciduous forest. Flat walking and steep switchbacks make this a fun hike along the river. It’s a great location to watch for bald eagles, vultures, ospreys, and other birds which rest and feed on the nearby Conejohela Flats year round. The ample supply of fish and birds is the reason Susquehannock Indians chose to live and hunt in the area hundreds of years ago.
